Sri Sadguru Chikitsalaya started its services in April 2005 at a small village 16 kms away from the town of Shivamogga. Initially it was catering to the needs of the villagers,gradually people from the surrounding places poured in. The lack of proper approach and increasing demand of the doctors easy availability prompted them to extend their services to Shivamogga town.
With a vision to promote Ayurveda, serve people of all walks of life Sri Sadguru Chikitsalaya came up with a Consultation Centre in Tilak nagar, a prime area of Shivamogga town. Better known as the HOSPITAL BELT of Shivamogga. This toddler step was kept in August 2006. Along with its vision and services Sri Sadguru Chikitsalaya became the talk of the town within a year. Not only the service but the social awareness programmes, public orientation talks about Ayurveda and self care brought in a small revolution in the Ayurveda services sector.
In order to keep pace with the revolutionary changes Sri Sadguru Chikitsalaya extended their services with a five bedded moderately equipped PANCHAKARMA therapy centre by name Sri Sadguru Ayurveda Chikitsa Kendra in Jan 2008. This milestone paved way to serve the ill suffering from chronic disorders and helped them bring back the smile on their faces through the time tested classical therapies – PANCHAKARMA. The PANCHAKARMA(five fold purificatory therapies) is the best prescribed treatment in curing the chronic ailments and rejuvenating oneself. Sri Sadguru Chikitsalaya specializes in this branch.
August 2010 Sri Sadguru Chikitsalaya launches its Multi speciality 10 bedded Ayurveda Centre. This is a perfect blend of modern facilities and traditional techniques. The centre facilitates specialist consultations with their respective disciplines from acute illness to chronic ailments, dietary modification, life style adoptions. Physiotherapy , Yoga and naturopathy consultations are also made available. With its continued extensions public awareness programmes has become a part and parcel of the institution. Thus propagating and promoting Ayurveda in its true sense.
